Lefty Begone: A Guy Named Jennifer

It is a good question, how do we define gender and how do we know if someone is really a transgender?
Conservatives are right in that there is some imaginary law that obliges you to be politically correct. That imaginary law acts like a censorship in political debates, that only weakens the debates. Although, that is not the problem here, this is a debate over if we should discriminate transgenders.
Jennifer could be after all a pervert that just dresses as a woman because he wants to pursuit his “pervert ambitions”. And in that case the women are indeed being threatened.
Although the reality is not like that, gender is a subjective concept because it is culturally created (that is the sociological concept and everyone that thinks that knows everything about gender should read “Sex and Temperament in Three Primitive Societies” by Margareth Mead).
But the second question is the hard one, because we can’t know if someone is really a transgender. Only the individuals know how they feel about their sexuality, it is a very subjective thing for the individuals that are external to the transgender in this situation. We can’t know how someone else feels. Therefore we could apply in the “Jennifer case” a act of good faith for her. We thrust her about her own sexuality - even though its not a good argument - i don’t think that anyone would start a transition to change their outside sex and taking hormones because they want to see some “ladies naked”.
We have to be more reasonable and tolerant, so that we can understand individually, without external influence, every case. It only seems reasonable to accept Jennifer her a woman, she is starting to dress like a woman, she probably started taking hormones and we can with good faith accept her decision.
